Hano started with a simple problem: Andrew Janatka knew what he liked, but could not turn it into a room. He asked Charlie Barstein for help.
They founded Hano to bring interior design expertise and product technology together, making practical design guidance easier to access.

Charlie Barstein
Charlie is an interior designer who has spent a decade making rooms, including years at the Los Angeles firm Commune Design. His own projects have run in the pages of Architectural Digest, most recently a Los Angeles home for actor Peter Porte and Jacob Jules Villieres.
At Hano, Charlie leads design and curation: assessing furniture, planning rooms, and explaining the choices behind them.
Charlie's studio, formerly Charlie Barstein Interiors, is now part of Hano.
